Bobby Watson

Watson was born in Sarasota, FL. His father a Navy man, his mother a singer, wherever they went, she would encourage her son to perform.

As Watson grew, he started playing for anyone at anytime. His talent and passion grew, and during a school break, he went home and recorded a few songs in his family’s home studio. Unbeknownst to Watson, his mother copied the songs onto a CD and started mailing them to record labels in Nashville.

He heard back from a small label, but life and careers aren’t always a straight trajectory. After stints in Australia, London, and meeting his wife, he felt the urge to dive back into music.

Watson moved back to Nashville and reconnected with music industry veteran Michael Campbell, who was an early believer. Campbell invited Watson back to Music City, introduced him to producer Jason Kyle Saetveit, and booked a studio.

This time Watson was ready, working harder than ever, stretching as a vocalist and songwriter, and striving toward his musical goals, all while studying for his MBA at Vanderbilt University to satisfy his responsible streak.

The sound they created was appealing, warm, and an ideal showcase for Watson’s rich, blues-tinged vocals and seamless transitions between musical styles.

The ability to capture such intimate, meaningful moments is Watson’s strength as an artist and the culmination of all the comings and goings it took him to get here. It’s about sacrifice and finding yourself back where you started with something more to offer.

It’s about growing up, discovering who you are, and owning the journey.
